Day1C has finally seen over a hundred joining the tournament, 137 to be precise. The best, nevertheless the luckiest, has an Austrian flag attached to his name.
Andreas Christian Gabriel has, in fact, bagged a 1.075.000 stack in chips, being the second over three days of playing to cross the one million mark, together with Day1A chip leader Nyjo Braun, still ahead of everyone.
Only 14 players though, have managed to guarantee a chance to compete the next Sunday at Day2, which will be running from 4.30 p.m. CET
Italy's cold run
Don't get tricked by the name, though it's called "Italian poker Sport" not so many of Dante's descendants have passed through Lady Luck's guillotine: only Alessandro Barone (437.000) and Stefano Mazzaferro (188.000) have reached Day2, bringing the total to four Italians out of 35 qualifiers.
We had bigger hopes for two well-known regulars such as Marco Di Persio and Giorgio Montebelli, but they both failed the first three bullets, one for each Day1 played until now.
We're sure to see them again battling for a seat in the following days.
How about the others?
Andreas Gabriel's advantage has not been as considerable as Nyjo Braun's during Day 1A. The Austrian player accumulated only about 200k chips more than Mihai Prisacariu (890.000).
Third place for Anthony Mahinda (800.000), who still waiting for his first cash out on a live poker tournament, according to hendomob.com database.
Czech players instead, have left a trace also in this Day1C: three more qualifiers have a seat reserved for Day2: Zimba Bwe (512.000 chips, despite his funny nickname choice), Andy Dufresne (445.000) and František Paum (441.000).
A quick sum up
In these three days, we have seen a total of 297 entries, which have brought 35 players to Day 2, 7 of them from the Czech Republic, including temporary chip leader Nyjo Braun.
We are sure to see a larger affluence starting from tomorrow on. The one million euros guaranteed prize pool is something you don't see every day and the best is yet to come!
