The second day of play here at the GC Poker Room at the Grand Casino of Liechtenstein for the CHF490 IPO Main Event, will culminate with the final table on Tuesday 14 November starting at 13:00.
Just as on the previous day, tickets were awarded for the IPO Master (whose Day1A will also take place here in Liechtenstein on 16 November), although on this occasion only the top ten (yesterday the Top 20 were awarded) succeeded in doing so.
Before we find out who the qualifiers are from the second flight of the kermesse, however, let's talk numbers: 90 people turned up at the tables this afternoon, 22 of whom qualified, while the total number of entries, thanks to 48 re-entries, comes to 138.
In total, between Day 1A and Day 1B, we have 362 entries and 66 players who are sure to have a seat (and a stack) for next Sunday at 18:45, the time scheduled for the start of Day 2.
The Top 5
Once again the players were not sparing themselves today and the battle, also with the possibility of pocketing a 1K ticket for the IPO Master, was as fierce as ever, especially in the final stages of the Day.
The best of them all was the Swiss Bleron Maliqi (photo below), who managed to bag 472,500 chips, which in addition to the head of the today's count allowed him to reach fourth place in the overall ranking, still dominated by Tommaso Stassi, Day1 A chip leader.
"The tournament went great," Bleron said, "also because I registered in late reg after the dinner break, made no re-entry,đ¨đBleron Maliqi is the best on Day1 B and even closed in the lead. The ticket to the IPO Master? The icing on the cake!"
The second position in the count is occupied by "O.H." with 411,000 chips, followed by Tobias Heinsdorf (377,500). The Top 5 was closed by 'Emmella' at 377,000 and Dutchman 'ZH' at 358,000.
As a reminder that the top 10 finishers won the ticket for the IPO Master here is, as usual, the chip count with the list of all the qualifiers from Day 1B.
