The room is still breathing the magic of the Main Event that just passed, which crowned "Emmella" after a 3-way deal (CLICK HERE for the full report), but there is no time for delays, and here is served the IPO Regressive from 250CHF buy-in and 20,000CHF guaranteed prize pool, a first-rate appetizer because of the IPO Master starting this afternoon at 19:00.
Although it was just any other Wednesday (and especially on the sidelines of the main event), 26 physical players showed up at the start, which thanks to 13 re-entries generated 39 entries in this Day1A, the first of two scheduled qualifying flights.
The Top 5
With 30-minute blinds and a starting stack of 40,000 chips, players battled for 13 levels of play (including 11 with late registration open).
Best of all, able to multiply his stack by six, was Switzerland's Alain Ferrari with 309,500 chips to seal in the envelope.
The second-best performance bears the signature of Poland's Jakub Krawiski with 242,700 chips, followed by the ever-present "Nokia 3310," from Switzerland, at 241,000.
Completing the Top 5 are two other Swiss, Marco Meisser (236,000) and Marcus Schilling 188,000. The only Italian qualifier answers to the name (pardon, nickname) of "Veda" with 185,000 in 6th position. Bringing up the rear among the 7 total qualifiers is Austrian "Ikarus" at 157,000.
