Another good turnout of players in the sixth flight available here at the Sanremo 2023 IPO, with the entry counter stopping at 984, just slightly less than last night's Day1 E.
A total of 222 players put their chips in the bag for Day 2, with Uttam Vo leading the pack with 621,000 chips accumulated.

At Hendonmob Uttam Vo can boast $290,000 in gross winnings in live poker tournaments and again today he showed he really knows his stuff in low buy-in tournaments.
Today's chip leader
Following with 576,000 chips is Salvatore Donato, the protagonist of a fine rush in the final round that propelled him into the upper reaches of the count:
"It's one of the first times I've managed to close a Day1 so high" - Salvatore says - "even though I'm a veteran of live tournaments and I've managed to achieve a few results in my career, both at the EPT and at the PSPC in the Bahamas.
Today I didn't get off to a great start but with a little patience the wind changed and within four hands I managed to accumulate most of the stack. A positive day for sure!"
In third place instead is Bartolomeo Selvaggi, with 567,000 pieces tucked inside the envelope: "I got off to a great start immediately, then after a few levels I missed a bad beat that halved my stack.
Over the course of the tournament, however, I managed to climb back up the ladder. It was a tiring tournament from a physical point of view, I'm quite tired but satisfied to be in the top positions, even if what counts is finishing first on Tuesday!"

The other qualifiers
In great shape, after luck had turned its back on him in the previous days, we finally find Davide Nutarelli, 5th in the count with 461,000 chips.
Excellent performance also for Alessandro Giordano, 22nd with 305,000, while his partner, Giada Fang, had to be content with 77,000 chips which at the start of Day 2 corresponded to about 15 big blinds.
Also advancing to the next day were Davide Suriano (277,000), Antonio Scalzi (254,000), Fares Shehadeh (237,000), Nicola Angelini (209,000), Giuseppe Ruocco (190,000), Pasquale Braco (174,000), Simone Andrian (131,000), Giuseppe Contursi (125,000) and Alessandro Pichierri (48,000).
