This day, to say the least, was also a hectic one in the parts of the Casino di Sanremo, with the two Day2s, A and B, which had space until the bubble burst and then, from around 21.00, merged into a single Day2.
At the end of the games, Marco Zani was the best of all 182 qualifiers for Day3, able to accumulate a stack of 2,405,000 chips, the only one, together with Salvatore Donato (second in the Day1 count), to exceed two million.
The Top 5
In addition to Marco Zani and Salvatore Donato, Vincenzo Vollaro was also in great form, taking third place thanks to the 1.980 million chips accumulated.
Fourth place for the evergreen Danilo Colomba (1,955,000), fifth Deborah Nizard Haddad at 1.8 million.
Before talking about the qualifiers though, let's go back over the top moments that characterized Day 2A and Day 2 B, during which the bursting of the bubble reserved quite a few surprises.
Danilo Colomba, 4° place
Day2 A
The eliminated number 302, out of 300 ITMs, comes directly to us to tell us about the misdeed. He is the good Daniele De Feo, rather disconcerted by what happened given the dynamics in which he found himself involved:
"I defended the BB with A-Qo on the opening of the player from UTG who barely covers me (25x against 22x) and the short stack flat (12x) from CO. On A-K-2 I call the c-bet and on Q turn I check-shove his close-to-pot bet... Call with K-K and turn misses."

The real bubble-man instead finds himself donk-shove with J-T on T-4-3 with a flush draw to clubs on the board after HJ's open and CO's flat, who calls with K-T. Again, no miracle jacks, and the survivors bag their stack waiting to show up again at 9 pm.
Day2 B
An exciting bubble to say the least, which saw the 235th-place finisher greet the ranks to the jubilation of the tournament survivors. A bubble that never seemed to want to burst and which, in the end, saw two tables involved at the same time: in the first, the short had just a blind and a half ante, forced into automatic all-in with 9-5. Three calls and an easy elimination were thought of but first, it was the turn of the next table with 10-9 against A-K.
The board features an Ace and the games are soon over as none of the other cards help in any way the all-in player who finds himself hoping for a double elimination to at least split the 1,030 minimum cash.
Discouragement painted on the face for the bubble-man of the day
The action then returns to the other table and on the flop 6-7-9 one of the three players in the hand makes such a bet that the other two run away: Pair of 8s in hand and set flopped against flush flopped with 9-5. People huddle around the table but neither turn nor river pairs the board. The enthusiasm of the short stack, which resoundingly returns to the game, is so overwhelming that at least twenty people are cheering, while the rest of the room applauds for the achievement.
Day2 Reunion
Starting at 21.00 the two Days merged into a single flight and the survivors battled it out until late into the night, when about 1/20th of the field managed to stay in the running when the envelopes closed.
Andrea Shehadeh
Scrolling down the list of qualifiers, the first illustrious name that jumps out at you is Andrea Shehadeh (1,505,000) followed by, guess who? Alessandro Scermino (1,405,000) a true specialist in this type of field.
In place number 28 is Davide Nutarelli (1,245,000), while in position 34 is Claudio Di Giacomo (1,190,000).

Thirty-first and thirty-fifth place respectively for Giuseppe Giordano (1,235,000) and Fares Shehadeh (1,165,000), brothers of the better-known Andrea and Alessandro, the latter in position 117 with 535,000 chips.
Further down at 1,030,000 also ticks the name of Sergio Castelluccio (44th), while in 55th is Spin grinder Alessandro Busia (955,000). Next up were Francesco Del Foco (70th at 800,000), Aris Theodoridis (71st at 795,000), Brando Naspetti (98th at 655,000), Nicolla Cappellesso (111th at 590,000), Zlatin Penev (112th at 585,000), Andrea Benelli (126th at 465,000) and Giuliano Bendinelli (145th at 380,000).
