Entries 223/ Left 27
Day 1C of the PP Tour Main Event with a guaranteed €500,000 prize pool was the first of the three flights held so far to reach the end of the 16 scheduled levels, as the 12% of the field wasn’t reached, unlike in the previous days.
Today’s numbers saw 223 entries, with Day 1D still in progress and 27 more players qualifying for Day 2, joining the 18 qualifiers from Day 1A and Day 1B. The best player today was Turkey’s Sukru Temin, who managed to bag 1,271,000 chips, securing the top spot in the overall chip count.
Sukru and second-place Rafael David Pelzers from Germany, who bagged exactly 1,000,000 chips, are the only two players to have crossed the 1,000,000-chip mark so far. Here’s what the day’s top performer had to say:
"Everything went great, I got here this morning, played only one bullet, and luck was on my side. The hands went my way, and I’m very, very happy to have finished so high in the chip count.
It’s also my first time at King’s Resort in Rozvadov, so I couldn’t have started this adventure better. If things go well, I plan to stay here for maybe a month and play a bit more, as I’m not a professional, but I really love poker."
The Top 5
Returning to the top five, besides the aforementioned Sukru Temin and Rafael David Pelzer with 1,271,000 and 1,000,000 chips, we find Poland’s Jakub Andrzej Witkowski in third place with 901,000.
The top five are Czech players Josef Dvorak with 728,000 and Macedonian Dusko Bogoevski with 718,000. Below is the complete chip count of all 27 Day 1C qualifiers.
