🇩🇪 Sebastian Langrenko is the PPT Main Event winner!

Entries 1922

This PPTour Main Event was a fantastic tournament, with €500,000 guaranteed. It ended with an even happier ending, as four players split the largest portion of the prize pool. The monetary deal left the winner with an extra €10,000 and the runner-up €6,000 more than originally agreed upon based on ICM.

Although Kooresh Shafaatian, well-known as the winner of the 51st edition of the IPS on August 22, 2023, had secured the largest share of the prize pool with €47,447 (corrected from €39,950) at the time of the deal, it was Sebastian Langrenko who claimed the title of champion.

Following the deal, the new champion pocketed €34,594, plus €10,350 for the WSOPE Main Event ticket, for €54,944.

Final Table

The final heads-up battle was between German player Sebastian Langrenko and Israeli player Ron Yeda, who, at the end of the contest, can still take solace with a prize of €50,790, including the ticket for the WSOP Europe Main Event.

As mentioned, Koresh Shafaatian could not raise his second trophy in an Error Hunters-branded event. However, he can still be happy with having achieved another significant result in monetary gain and prestige.

One of the biggest disappointments, however, concerns Israeli player Legolas, at least in terms of expectations before the start of the Final Table, and given his massive chip lead at the end of Day 2. Legolas finished "only" in fifth place, earning a prize of €27,450, including the ticket for the Main Event.

Swiss player DB17 (his nickname) takes fourth place, successfully securing a spot in the monetary deal. He earned around €10,000 more than initially allocated for fourth position. In total, DB17 takes home €44,339, including the ticket for the Main Event.

The Last Italian Standing's regular, Michele Antonio Zafonti, claimed sixth place and pocketed €23,250 (including the ticket for the WSOPE Main Event) after being knocked out in a coin flip (A-J vs. 7-7).

Outside of the ticket zone, so to speak, we have two Germans and a Turk. The first is Eric Arthur Blair, who takes home €9,850. In eighth place, we find a young regular here at King's Resort, who also finished sixth in the last Eurounders event, the CNP, the National Poker Circuit, in August.

Down below is the first to leave the pack: Turkish player Atilla Öztürk, chip leader on Day 1F, who arrived at the final table with the third-largest stack, tied with DB17 and Abrechner, but was eliminated very quickly after less than an hour of play.
