After the happy adventure on Czech soil with the CNP Main Event, won by the Italian "Eriknitro" (CLICK HERE to read about his feat), here we are catapulted back to Slovenia to tell you about the ReMida Poker Team.
The format that garnered so much acclaim among players last month returns here at the Perla Resort to the delight of amateurs and non-amateurs alike. In the last edition we saw David Testen triumph (CLICK HERE for the report) as far as single players are concerned and "The Scerminators" at a Team level.
This time the defending champion has found himself a team, "Perla Lovers", along with runner-up Giovanni Socci (CLICK HERE for more on teams) so that he can compete on both fronts.
Indeed, let us recall that this format provides for a €20,000 prize reserved for the best team (composed of a maximum of 5 players). After these brief but necessary preliminaries, let's get straight to the story of the first day of play, Day 1 A.
There were 203 total entries at the end of the day, and 60 of them will come back with an envelope (more or less) full of chips. The heaviest yesterday was sealed by Alessandro Campedelli (photo above), closing at 612,000:
"I won some good rounds," says Alessandro, "I didn't have great cards in general, but I managed to maximize when I found myself with important hands: I set twice winning some big pots and I won two showdowns with A-K, that's it in a nutshell.
I've been playing for almost twenty years, I've already made quite a few results even if not impressive, I've been to the WSOP in Vegas. This is the first time I've closed as chip leader here in Nova on a Day1, usually when it happens I manage to reach the prize zone with ease, let's hope it's the same here. And maybe a little bit more..."

Second place in the count goes to Adrian Lovin Sorin, already among the finalists in the last edition and capable of racking up no less than 484,000 chips in the evening just gone.
Sergio Pignalosa closes the podium just 4,000 chips behind (480,000 for him), while the fourth and fifth places go to Gregor Bukoved (475,000) and Singh Amarjot (458,000).
Also qualifying is 'former champion' David Testen, behind team-mate Mario Ripepi in 30th position at 183,000. Closing out the list of 60 qualifiers is another finalist from last year's edition, Andrea Darduin, who only bagged 22,000 chips ahead of Day2.
