It ended at 5 p.m. the "Speed" flight that began at 12:30 p.m., the last one available to qualify for this afternoon's Day 2 B (whose preparations are in full swing as we write).
A further 71 entries (including re-entries) reached 840 for a total prize pool of €259,450, of which €15,000 was disbursed as a chip leader bonus in the first two Day1s and another €35,000 earmarked for the "Team" rankings (20K for first, 10K for second and 5K for third).
The Tournament
There were 24 who qualified, the best of whom answers to the name of Manuel Corvetti (photo below), able to bring to Day2 a 370,000 chip stack that at the resumption of play (with 1K/3K blinds) will be equivalent to 123 big blinds.
Like turbo flights, many preferred to settle for stuffing a few chips in the envelope ahead of Day 2 instead of taking unnecessary risks and ending the adventure prematurely.
Day 2 B will close with 47 left, all ITMs, joining the 20 already sure to participate in tomorrow's Final Day.
The Top 5
Second and third place in the equal count with 330,000 chips each: we are talking about Paolo Palmisano and Paolo Riga, who will resume play with 110 big blinds at their disposal.
Closing out the Top 5 are Luciano Borghetti and Antonio Pugliese, at 281,000 and 250,000 chips, respectively.
Also qualifying for Day2 are Davide Nutarelli (227,000), Italo Modena (163,000), Davide Ceglia (159,000), Romano Ravaioli (113,000) and Cristiano Ruiu (76,000).
