It was the second day of play here at the King's Resort in Rozvadov for the eagerly awaited stage of Sharkbay, the €290 buy-in low buy-in which has a guaranteed prize pool of €500,000.
On the opening day, we saw the German 🇩🇪 "Zurek4life" excel out of 67 entries, a similar story for Day 2, where another player with a German flag, although the name may be misleading, managed to chip lead.
The Top 5
We are talking about 🇩🇪 Minh Dang Nguyen, who in the 15 levels available managed to put aside 672,000 chips to take to Day 2, scheduled for Sunday from 4.30 pm.
Second place belongs to a player from the other side of the ocean, the Mexican 🇲🇽 Briant Harold Alavez Lopez (604,000), followed by the Slovakian 🇸🇰 "eMKey" at 516,000.
Closing out the provisional Top 5 is a Frenchman 🇫🇷 Alain Philippe Ulm with 506,000 chips and another German, 🇩🇪 "MAWL" (488,000).
No Italians qualified through this flight, unlike the previous one which saw Marco di Persio and Andrea Capuano hold high the tricolor, and a rather heterogeneous field if we consider the presence of no less than nine different nationalities out of the total of 15 qualifiers.
Today's program
Today's menu promises to be quite rich, with the third flight of the kermesse, Day 1 C starting as early as 11.00 am (with 40-minute blinds). This will be followed by Day 1 D Speed (30-minute levels) scheduled to start at 18.00.
In both cases, late registration will be open for the first nine levels of play out of the total 15 planned.
