Just two days after crowning the new champion of the Italian Poker Sport Main Event 53rd Edition (HERE is the full report), we find ourselves in Velden am Wörthersee, Carinthia, southern Austria, ready to bring you the Sharkbay Main Event with a €200,000 guaranteed prize pool.


The location is truly stunning—a small tourist town overlooking Lake Wörther, filled with bistros, restaurants, and venues perfect for enjoying a lovely evening outside the poker set. In short, it’s another unmissable EuroRounders event that we can’t wait to cover. Stay tuned!

18 Oct - 02:45 - Last level of play with Schnitzler ahead!



We're approaching the end of the flight with 12 players still in action at blinds 2K/5K, ante 5K, and an average stack of 300 K. In the last two levels with the seat redraw, Kevin Schnitzler moved to Bashkim Kryeziu's table and overtook him by 100K chips by now.

18 Oct - 00:45 - Bashkim Kryeziu atop at the 9th level!



We are just a few minutes from the end of the 9th level, with blinds at 1000-2000 and a 2000 ante. Out of 73 entries, 24 players still compete for a pass to Day 2, with two levels remaining for re-entry or late registration.


The situation at the top of the chip count has slightly changed, as Bashkim Kryeziu surpasses the 600K mark, leading the pack with approximately 620.000 chips at the end of the 9th level. 


Kryeziu got involved in an all-in preflop against Gabriele Filippi (pic below), Aces vs Kings, and jumped ahead with over three times the average.



Kevin Schnitzler has moved up a few positions, now boasting 350,000 chips at seat three on table 2. In seat 1, we find the previous chip leader from the last update, Erpak Mert, who remains with the same stack but is now dropping to third place with around 320,000 chips.

17 Oct - 22:45 -  Erpak Mert ahead at the 7th level!



The players in the running at the Sharkbay Main Event Day1 A have returned from the second break of the day and are now engaged in the seventh level of play, with blinds at 600-1200 and a 1200 ante, while the average stack has reached 89,000 chips with 39 players at the tables. The total number of entries has reached 70, and it’s important to note that there are still 4 levels available for late registration in addition to the current one.


The current situation sees Erpak Mert (pic above) leading with 330K (almost four times the tournament average), followed by Ivan Silgeborg with 270 K. In third place is Kevin Schnitzler with 225K, while all other players have below 200,000 chips. Below is the updated Top 5 based on the current level.

We have reached the fifth level of play here at the Main Poker Room of the Velden Casino. The current level is 400-800 with an 800 ante, and the average stack is 63,000 chips compared to the initial 50,000.


After this level, there will be one more level before the second 15-minute break of the day. A reminder that registration is open until the end of the eleventh level of play.


We currently have 56 entries, with 44 players still at the tables. In the next updates, we will briefly recap the players’ chip stacks in the competition. Meanwhile, let's enjoy a few more pics!





17 Oct - 19:30 - First break of the day!



We are nearing the conclusion of the third level of play in the Sharkbay Main Event Day 1 here at the Velden Casino. The current level is 200-400 with a 400 ante, and in less than 10 minutes, the players will enjoy a 15-minute break.


As for the numbers, we have 50 entries so far, with 45 active players at the tables. It’s important to note that late registration will remain open for the first 11 levels of play, and the day will end at the conclusion of the thirteenth level. Here are the first shots of the day! ⤵️




17 Oct - 17:30 - Sharkbay Main Event Day1 A kicked off!



It's time to shuffle up and deal at Casino Velden, where Sharkbay Main Event Day1 A just began with over 30 players at the starting grid.


50K starting stack, 40 min blinds and 13 levels of play (with 11 available to register or re-enter): all is set, so let's give it a go!
