Entries 3.407/ Left 29
It was tough, but in the end 29 arrived to compete for the trophy and the first coin. An intense day that saw 370 players at the starting line from the 10 flights played during the week, nine played at the King's Resort, and one played at King's Prague.
The tournament
For long stretches the chipleader at the start of the Day was the star of Day 2, managing to push his stack through all phases of the tournament until, in the final stages, Israel's Ori Hassan (pictured below) managed to take the lead.
Sitting at the feature table, he dominated the table by winning a major flip when the clock had already stopped for a few hands and the floorman was preparing to distribute the envelopes to all the survivors. A pot of over 4 million allowed him to overtake the Romanian "MOUSA" (photo below) putting him in the best condition to face the final day scheduled for today at 14:00
Nothing to do for the various chipleaders of the previous days, starting with the second in stack at the beginning of the day, the Italian "Eriknitro", who saw his stack dissolve after just a few levels of play, thanks to a failed triple-barrel bluff that left him with crumbs.
The same can be said for the other leaders: from Patrick Wagner to Markus Kaiser, passing through the Italian-German Massimo Navarra (photo below), the Argentine pro Maria Lampropoulos and so on.
The Top 5
In addition to the leading duo of Ori Hassan (12,100,000) and "MOUSA" (10,800,000), the Ukrainian "CHEREMOSH" (photo below) with 9,850,000, leading the count at the penultimate level, the Georgian Lazare Kalebashvili (8,275,000) and the Israeli Eyal Saidof (7,900,000) will be present at the shuffle up and deal this afternoon.
An excellent performance for Bogdan Florin Falconi from Sassari, the best of the three Italians who qualified with 5,700,000. The decisive blow for him came with a preflop showdown on the penultimate level of play: 10-10 vs Q-Q and a 10 on the flop that sent him flying in the count.
In 14th place comes Luigino Brandimarte (4,800,000), always in control of the situation with an average stack, while the usual Michele Tocci (photo above), 25th at 2,225,000, who is often present in the top stages of the tournaments that count, will be forced to work miracles.
Below is the complete list of the 29 qualifiers.
