Adrian Sorin steals the scene on Day1 D

Entries 142/ Left 36

The fourth flight of the kermesse also came to a close, bringing another 36 qualifiers to Day2 this afternoon out of a total of 142 entries.

It was an intense day, which rewarded Romanian Adrian Lovin in the last few hands thanks to a gigantic pot won by winning a 3-way showdown: his K's managed to get the better of his two opponents' Nines and Jacks, propelling him to the top of the count on the third last hand of play.

Le parole del chipleader

Happy but calm, Adrian commented on his day: 'How did it go? I'd say great! I could have closed with more chips or maybe a few less if the last hand hadn't gone my way, but I'm happy with that.

I'm very happy with the game, for me the important thing is to make the right choices, then what happens in terms of luck I can't control!"

La Top 10

Thanks to the 538,000 chips Adrian bagged, he was 4 big blinds ahead of the second in chips, Davide Villani (photo below), who on the very last hand decided not to believe the all-in raise of one of his opponents at the table by putting in 30 preflop blinds with A-6 off and finding himself up against Aces.

A play that was probably the result of fatigue and a bad reading, which cost him the first position in the count but allowed him to start Day 2 with an important stack of 518,000 chips.

Completing the podium was Franz Heinz Obermeyer (425,000) followed by, guess who.... The ever-present Alessandro Scermino, who this time sank the blow by putting 419,000 chips in the bag, just a few big blinds more than Wissan Ouertani, fifth at 405,000.
