Saturday's first flight, Day1E, closed with a bang, with a total of 688 entries, 474 of which were singles plus 214 re-entries, bringing the total count to 1,789 with two more flights to go (one of which is in progress as we write).
The best of the troop is a German by the name of Andreas Steffen Schiepe (photo below) and on Sunday afternoon he will show up with 1,480,000 chips, the biggest stack bagged so far.
"You want the truth? This is my ninth bullet, I've been here since Wednesday and until before tonight I've lost any shot in any way. - says Andreas at the end of the day - I came back today and I said to myself: I'll do two or three more max and see how it goes.
There were two/three really important hands that gave me the boost and, above all, helped me to be 'in the zone': from then on I expressed my best game. I hope this stack will allow me to go all the way because ITM is not enough to make up for all the entries!"

If chip leading, both at Day1 E and in the overall count, is Andreas Schiepe's affair, second place (again both on the current Day and overall) also speaks German: "KALKO" manages to put aside 1,412,000 chips and can be very happy with what he did today.
