This last Saturday of the month here in Rozvadov closed in the best possible way, thanks to a CNP Main Event that went beyond all expectations. After the first six flights (out of the seven available), in fact, the entry counter reads 2,307, of which 237 qualified for Day 2 this afternoon.
Day 1 F, the last available flight of the day, was the second most crowded with 352 single entries, 166 re-entries, and a total of 518 entries. Needless to say, the €500,000 guarantee has already been exceeded...
Taking the cover this time was a German, "thetheoofpoker" (pictured below), thanks to a stack of 1,193,000 ch ahead of Day2 is really a lot in terms of playability:
"My tournament? It didn't start very well, I soon dropped to 25,000 chips," - says "thetheoofpoker", - "but after a few levels I managed to climb back up. The spot that launched me was the result of a particular dynamic at the table: the player on the button was very aggressive and often went all-in on my blind.
Until, at the umpteenth BTN/BB situation, I tell him that I would have called him if he had the intention of going all-in again. As it is, he does indeed go all-in again and I call with A-Qo, while he turns over K-K. A Dame on the flop and an Ace on the turn won me a pot of over 500,000 and from then on it was all smooth sailing. What do I do for a living? I'm a physiotherapist but I love playing poker when I can afford it!"

The only one to cross the million-chip threshold was the day's chip leader, although his pursuers certainly can't complain. Starting with Czech Jakub Koleckar, second at 981,000 chips.
He is followed by an Italian, Loris Scattolin (967,000), and two Frenchmen, Huu Hoai Nguyen (906,000) and Richard Christian Jean Louis Lenoir (889,000). The only Spanish qualifier is in 13th position and answers to the name of Francisco Eijo Santos, with 666,000.
A total of 19 Germans will replay this afternoon, including the chip leader, keeping the average there about 1/3 of the field as in previous flights. Below is the ranking at the end of Day 1 F.
