Entries 456/ Left 52
The morning flight of the CNP Main Event, Day 1E, concluded at 11 PM after precisely 12 hours of play. A total of 456 entries were recorded, advancing 52 more players to Day 2 on Sunday, adding to the 36 players who qualified from the previous days’ flights.
The standout player of the day was a familiar face on the EuroRounders circuit, the Italian Andrea Ricci, who managed to finish with 1,202,000 chips, securing the chip lead for the day and the top spot on the overall leaderboard. Here’s what he had to say at the end of the day:
Everything went smoothly because, at T5000, I had 9.5x. From there, everything went very well. Any particular hands? I got a cooler against Josef Gulash in a BTN/CO dynamic. We were both deep because I had 70x, and he had a huge stack… Anyway, I opened Gulash's 3-bet, clicked back with a 4-bet, and he 5-bet all-in: K-K vs A-K. I had the K’s, and the board ran clean.
After that, he went a bit on tilt and started 3-betting me very often, so on the fourth one, we had some fun and played a BTN/CO with 10-6s… He flatted my 4-bet, the flop came 9-2-3 rainbow, I c-bet 1/6 pot, and he called. The turn was a 3 that paired and opened my flush draw. I bet half pot, and after tanking a bit, he folded. Let’s hope things go well in the coming days!
The Top 5
In addition to the aforementioned Andrea Ricci, who has 1,202,000 chips, the German Marius Hubert Paul Walter is in second place with 1,198,000, followed by the Slovak player “Foxtastic” with 1,079,000.
Rounding out the Top five are the Belgian Stefano Frans M. Aerts, with 941,000, and his fellow countryman “Raayz,” with 894,000. Below is the leaderboard with all 52 players who qualified from Day 1E.
