Italian player Davide Giuseppe Costa (pic below) stands in the spotlight on today’s flight; he ends the day with an impressive 1,274,000 chips. Here's what he told us at the end of the day:
“At the beginning, I was card dead, then with a set of threes, I climbed to 120K, but then I dropped back down to 30K by bluffing. However, with the table balance, I triple up with K-K against QQ and 88.
Then again, K-K, where I 3-bet on an opening, two shorts go all-in, and I go all-in, winning the pot. At the new table change, on the very first hand, I get A-A: I open-raise, a short goes all-in, a player with 280K goes all-in, and an Ace falls on the flop… With the monster hands today, I must say it went well!
No, this isn’t my first flight. I played Day 1 A and B with 80-minute blinds, and I’m glad that it will be the same from Day 2 onwards. I hope to do well. I really have an excellent stack looking ahead to Sunday!”
