Entries 98/ Left 15

Day 1C concludes. It was the first flight of the day at the EPO Mystery Bounty with a €1,000,000 guarantee, and there were 98 entries, advancing 15 players to Day 2 on Sunday. Once again, play stopped as soon as 15% of the field was reached.

The standout player of the day was Swiss Mr. Backhand, who bagged 858,000 chips, soaring to the top of the overall count. Here’s what he shared at the end of the day:

“To be honest, I wasn’t even supposed to play this tournament because I was with a friend playing a tennis tournament. I only joined at the last minute because my friend wanted to play the evening flight. My tournament?

Honestly, it wasn’t great in terms of play—I didn’t have many post-flop spots, but I got lucky in two pre-flop situations and built a huge stack. The biggest hand? A-K > K-K for a pot of about 650,000. After that hand, it was just about managing my stack and picking up some extra chips thanks to its weight. Am I a professional? I try! Even though I mostly play live.”
