Un'altro capitolo è stato scritto: 4.679 costituiscono il numero più alto di ingressi mai registrato al France Poker Festival e, come accade in questi casi, ci pare doveroso aprire con un ringraziamento a tutti voi che ci leggete in questo momento e che, soprattuto, ci seguite in giro per l'Europa in modo così numeroso.

Il prizepool da 500mila euro è stato ampiamente superato grazie ai 733.433€ raccolti (compresi 6 ticket per il Main Event delle WSOPE dal valore di 10mila euro). Domani saranno in 48 a tornare ai tavoli per il Final Day nella speranza di mettere le mani sul trofeo e sui 100mila euro di primo premio.

La lotta al primo posto nel count, seppur indiretta visto che i due protagonisti giocavano su tavoli differenti, è stata piuttosto tirata, con Andrei Piatrushchanka largamente in testa negli ultimi livelli di gioco e superato dall'armeno Valerik Malkhasian (foto sopra) al fotofinish:

"Sono molto felice, non credevo di esser io il chipleader" - commenta a caldo Valerik, che effettivamente aveva buttato un occhio allo stack di Andrei Piatrushchanka (foto sotto) al tavolo accanto e si era reso conto di averne parecchie di meno.

Il bielorusso infatti, è stato protagonista di uno showdown priotecnico nel quale si trovava con 9-9 contro 4-4 e K-K per un piatto da circa 13.5 milioni di chip, quando l'average torneo stazionava attorno ai 3.5 milioni.

Un board senza sorprese fino al turn, poi un 9 river che lo manda in paradiso e fa sprofondare a 3 milioni il suo avversario, chipleader incontrastato fino a quel momento. A fine giornata Piatrushchanka porta a casa uno stack da 9.545.000, una manciata di bui in meno di Malkhasian a quota 9.900.000.

Al terzo posto nel count, con 8.860.000 troviamo lo spagnolo Manuel Garcia Gonzalez (foto sopra), impegnato al tavolo con Andrei Piatrushchanka dopo l'ultimo redraw e protagonista, assieme al bielorusso, di alcuni spot interessanti.

La Top 5 viene completata dal secondo armeno in gara, Waagn Kaplanjan, che questo pomeriggio potrà vantare 7.900.000 chip, contro i 7.585.000 del portoghese Hugo Aca Lopes Enes Franco, quinto nel count provvisorio.

Rimangono in gara ancora 6 francesi e 5 italiani: Sylvain Chaumy (7.420.000) e Antonio De Lucia (7.060.000) sono stati i migliori esponenti delle rispettiva nazioni occupando rispettivamente la sesta e la settima posizione nel count. A seguire la lista dei 48 finalisti al Main Event del France Poker Festival.
