Entries 372/ Left 44
Day 1E has just concluded here at King’s Resort in Rozvadov, where the IPS with a €1 million guarantee is taking place. Today, there were 372 entries for the first of two scheduled flights. As we write, Day 1F Speed is underway, with 30-minute levels, and it will finish late into the night.
A total of 44 players advanced from Day 1E, more than those who qualified in the previous days. Moroccan Kamal Boughareb (pic below) is the only player to surpass 1 million in chips, with 1,065,000 chips accumulated. Here are his quick impressions about the tournament:
“At the beginning, things didn’t go well, and I dropped to 30k from the 50k starting stack, but then I doubled up and won a few pots, even with 30 preflop. From there, I kept grinding pot after pot until the final levels, where my stack helped me put more pressure on my opponents and reach 1 million chips.
No, I’m not a full-time professional, but I play quite a bit and know what I’m doing, let’s say! It’s my first time finishing as chip leader on Day 1 here at King’s, so hopefully, it’s a good sign!
The Top 5
For the top five positions, we highlight Moroccan Kamal Bouhareb's chip lead of 1,065,000, followed by Romanian Roman Bogdan Ionut's 926,000.
