Entries 445/ Left 98
The last of the nine flights scheduled for this weekend here at King’s Resort, Day 1I of the Italian Poker Sport, has ended, adding another 445 entries to the total count. We’re still waiting for the final number, which will include the Flip & Go entries that are ongoing until shortly before the start of Day 2.
The best player this morning was the German “Taulos” (photo below), the only one among the 98 qualifiers to surpass one million chips. Here’s what he shared with us at the end of the day:
“My strategy today? Going all-in on every hand! Jokes aside, it went well. The key hand was a three-way showdown where I had A-K against Q-J and 9-9.
This is my fourth live tournament; I almost exclusively play online. Let’s hope the luck continues into Day 2!”
The Top 5
Without having the complete chip count or the Day 2 redraw, we found the Top 5 from Day 1I by checking each bag. Besides the chip leader “Taulos” with 1,035,000, we have Swiss player Llamonte with 606,000, followed by Ivo Gadze with 511,000.
Among the Top 5 are David Novotny with 505,000 and Zeiyad Tafass with 491,000. While we await the complete redraw, here is the list of the Top 5 stacks from Day 1I.
