Certo, a febbraio furono oltre mille e duecento, ma quello era il torneo del record europeo. Di certo non ci si può lamentare delle 948 entries totalizzate nel flight partito questa mattina alle 14:00, che ha visto impegnati 685 giocatori fisici (nel conto delle entries ci sono da considerare anche i 263 re-entry).
A passare sono in 105, praticamente un terzo del totale, salito a 303 se sommiamo i 198 qualificati dai precedenti 5 flight. In totale, dopo 6 Day1, si contano 2.582 ingressi circa 600 in meno della passata edizione.
Al comando della classifica odierna troviamo fianalmente una donna, la francese Marina Pierrette Mendy (foto sopra) a quota 1.313.000. Quasi sorpresa per il risultato ottenuto, ecco cosa ci ha raccontato a caldo:
"È stata proprio una bella giornata, certo la fortuna mi ha assistita ma sono riuscita a esprimere il mio miglior gioco e non penso di aver commesso errori. Da quanto gioco a poker? Circa una decina d'anni, mi piacciono molto questi tornei. E sì, è la prima volta che chiudo in testa al count a un Day1!"
La Top 5
A centomila chip di distanza c'è l'italiano Carmelo Nicolosi a 1.205.000 (foto sotto), il migliore fino a questo momento, capace di superare l'ottima performance di Marco Di Persio, chipleader al Day1 G.
Il terzo posto è dell'israeliano Omri Manheim, con 1.200.000 spaccati, mentre quarta e quinta piazza spettano rispettivamente a Renato Alberto Ardelean (anch'egli a 1.200.000) e l'iraniano Rez Athens (1.117.000).
Ottima performance anche per Adriano Bianco (8° a 995.000), Andrea Saftich (11° a 891.000) e Dario Comitini 9° a 934.000.
