Entries 1653/ Left 213

Day 1G of the IPS Italian Poker Sport has come to a close, marking a record-breaking flight with 1,653 entries, making it the largest Day 1 ever held in Europe in terms of live physical players at the tables, without counting combined online and live fields, as seen in other tournaments.
Stealing the spotlight is Italy’s Marty McFly—his nickname—the only player, along with the second in chips, to surpass the one-million mark. But we’ll get to that later. What did today’s main protagonist have to say right after bagging up?

“I started off badly and quickly dropped to 12 BB, but then I won a nice flip and climbed back up little by little. Most of my chips came from the guy right next to me,” he says, pointing to the player on his right. “It was a smooth run—people paid off my value hands, and when that happens, it’s easy to build chips.”
How many tables did I change? Four today, and the last one was the best—at least for me!”
Top 5
Looking at the Top 5 chip counts, alongside Marty McFly's already mentioned 1,176,000, we have Marco Bella at 1,142,000, followed by Danilo Cisternino with 952,000.
Third place belongs to Romania’s Johan Holbura, who bagged 927,000, and completing the Top 5 is Italy’s Gianluca Cabitza with 899,000. Below is the full list of the 213 players who qualified from Day 1G and will return on Sunday for Day 2.
