After about two and a half hours of play, down to 6.5 big blinds, the Greek Timurus Kotidis moved all-in with J♣ J♦. However, from the small blind, Robert Ashelm picked up A♥ Q♥, opting just to call while the big blind folded.

We remind you that blinds were 1,000,000-2,000,000 with a 2,000,000 ante. The board ran out 10♦ 6♠ 7♥ 2♠ A♠, for a 30,000,000 chip pot.

Robert Ashelm climbed to 30 big blinds, while the Greek player had to settle for 9th place. It was a €24,500 prize, sending the remaining eight finalists to the WSOP Europe Main Event, which will take place next winter, as the top eight finalists received a €10,350 ticket.

🇩🇪 Daniel Wurzinger finishes in 8th place

From the button, Daniel Wurzinger, holding 5♠ 5♣, moved all-in for 12.5 million, the equivalent of just over 6 big blinds. In the big blind, Johann Schamne, sitting on 43 big blinds, called with K♣ Q♥, while Robert Ashelm, also in the big blind, with 31 big blinds behind, opted to fold.

The board ran out 2♣ Q♥ A♥ 9♥ 10♥, creating a 29 million chip pot that boosted Johann Schamne to 52 big blinds, while Daniel Wurzinger had to settle for 8th place, earning €31,500 plus a €10,350 ticket for the WSOP Europe Main Event.

🇨🇿 Michael Adam busts in 7th place

From Under the Gun, Czech player Michael Adam, holding K♦ 9♠, moved all-in for 15.4 million, the equivalent of 6.2 big blinds, as blinds had reached 1.2 million / 2.5 million / 2.5 million ante.

After a fold from all players up to the button, Johann Schamne decided to call with Q♣ J♠, holding a 25 big blind stack behind. The small blind and big blind folded, sending the hand to a showdown.

The board ran out 4♠ 8♦ 9♦ Q♠ J♦, awarding the 37 million chip pot to Johann Schamne, who climbed to 99 million, taking the tournament chip lead. Meanwhile, Michael Adam finished in 7th place, securing a €50,850 prize including a WSOP Europe Main Event ticket.

🇫🇷 Mario Luckas Boos out in 6th place

After about 40 minutes of play, another elimination took place, once again at the hands of chip leader Johann Schamne, who picked up A♠ A♦ from the cutoff with about 50 big blinds behind, opening the action. However, he found resistance from the big blind, where Mario Boos, holding K♠ K♣ with 8.3 big blinds behind, had one of the easiest shoves. Just as expected, the German didn’t need more than a second to put in the chips and announce the call.

The showdown followed, and the board ran out 7♠ 6♠ 5♠ 4♠ 9♠.

Schamne secured another massive 50 million chip pot, further solidifying his lead at the top of the count. Meanwhile, Frenchman Mario Boos made his exit with a hint of disappointment but still took home a €62,850 prize including a €10,350 WSOP Europe Main Event ticket.

The hand that sealed the fate of Italo-German Marty McFly came after about five hours of play. He was the one to move all-in directly from the small blind with A♠ 7♣, targeting the big blind of Alexandru Moraru, who, with around 10 big blinds behind, had a fairly easy call.

The showdown followed, and the board ran out Q♣ 6♥ K♠ 3♣ A♣, creating a 48 million chip pot, which went to the Romanian player, sending McFly to the payout desk to collect his €79,350 prize including a WSOP Europe Main Event ticket.

🇧🇦 Marko Bajic falls in 4th place

Once down to the final four players, they agreed on an ICM deal, leaving €47,000 for the winner and €23,000 for the runner-up.

It didn’t take long before the next elimination took place. This time, Marko Bajic was the one to leave the field, open-shoving from the small blind with A♥ 7♥ into the big blind of Johann Schamne, who, sitting on 41 big blinds, decided to call with 10♦ 8♠.

The 91-million chip pot had the potential to either bring the Bosnian player back into the game or further boost the German player’s lead.

The board ran out 8♥ 2♠ 7♣ 5♥ 5♠, awarding the pot to Johann Schamne, who secured 99 million chips, further cementing his position at the top of the leaderboard.

Meanwhile, Marko Bajic finished in 4th place, earning €130,350, including a €10,350 ticket for the WSOP Europe Main Event.

A crushing hand sealed the fate of Robert Ashelm. The action began with Johann Schamne raising to 3 big blinds from the small blind, targeting the big blind of his countryman, who defended with 3♥ 3♣. Schamne held 7♠ 7♣.

The board ran out J♥ 5♦ 2♥, prompting a continuation bet of 2.5 big blinds from Schamne after Ashelm’s check. Ashelm called, leaving himself with just 14 big blinds behind.

When the J♣ landed on the turn, Schamne fired again for 5 big blinds, and Ashelm called once more, dropping to 9 big blinds remaining.

On the 2♣ river, Schamne checked, prompting Ashelm to move all-in. Without hesitation, Schamne snap-called.

Robert Ashelm was eliminated in 3rd place, earning €150,350, including a €10,350 ticket for the WSOP Europe Main Event.

🇩🇪 Johann Schamne is the Main Event winner, 🇷🇴 Moraru runner-up

The heads-up battle started as a one-sided affair, with Johann Schamne sitting on 75 big blinds, facing Romanian Alexandru Moraru, who was down to just 13 big blinds.

It only took a few hands to reach the decisive showdown, where the Romanian player moved all-in over a button open.

The board initially ran out J♣ A♠ A♦, and when the 9♠ landed on the turn, hope flickered in Moraru’s eyes, as he was now a 93% favorite for a double-up. However, a K♦ on the river turned the tide, sealing the victory for the German player.

Johann Schamne took home €221,350, including a €10,350 ticket for the WSOP Europe Main Event, while Alexandru Moraru finished as the runner-up, earning €167,350.
