The first of today’s two flights at King’s Resort, Day 1E of the Kings Million Main Event, has officially come to an end, drawing an impressive 943 entries and advancing 92 players to Sunday’s Day 2. It was an action-packed day here in the Czech Republic, with local player David Eiselt stealing the spotlight by bagging an impressive 1,422,000 chips at the end of play.

We caught up with Eiselt shortly after bagging his chips, and here’s what he had to say:

“It was one of those days where everything went my way. I wasn’t even planning to come and play, but when you keep getting Aces or top hands, poker becomes easy.

My biggest credit was managing the situation well. The most important hand came near the end when a very aggressive player 4-bet shoved over my 3-bet with pocket Aces, showing Tens for a 1,400,000-chip pot, which at that moment was worth over 100 big blinds.

I’ve been the chip leader in a big event like this before, and I hope things go well in the coming days—but we’ll talk about that on Monday.”
