Entries 948 / Left 105
Sure, it was over 1,200 in February, but that was the European record tournament. One certainly can't complain about the 948 entries totaled in the flight that started this morning at 14:00, which saw 685 physical players involved (the 263 re-entries must also be considered in the entry count).
A total of 105 players made it through, practically a third of the total, rising to 303 if we add the 198 qualifiers from the previous five flights. In total, after 6 Day1s, there were 2,582 entries, about 600 less than last year.
At the top of today's leaderboard is finally a woman, Frenchwoman Marina Pierrette Mendy (pictured above) at 1,313,000. Almost surprised by her result, she said:
"It was a really good day, of course, luck helped me but I managed to express my best game and I don't think I made any mistakes. How long have I been playing poker? About ten years, I really enjoy these tournaments. And yes, it's the first time I've closed at the top of the count at a Day1!"

A hundred thousand chips behind is Italy's Carmelo Nicolosi at 1,205,000 (photo below), the best so far, able to overcome the excellent performance of Marco Di Persio, Day1 G chipleader.
Third place went to Israel's Omri Manheim, with 1,200,000 split, while fourth and fifth places went to Renato Alberto Ardelean (also at 1,200,000) and Iran's Rez Athens (1,117,000) respectively.
Excellent performances also for Adriano Bianco (8th at 995,000), Andrea Saftich (11th at 891,000) and Dario Comitini 9th at 934,000.
