Entries 667/Left 84

Day 1G of the Pirates Poker Treasure Mystery Bounty wraps up with 84 players remaining out of a total of 664 entries — making it the most crowded flight of the weekend.
Italy’s Cristian Bertu is leading the pack, who bagged 1,650,000 chips by the end of the day — a stack that puts him in the top positions on the overall count. Here's what he had to say at the end of the day:

"Yeah, I’d say it went pretty well… I finished as the chip leader. I saw everything today — made a couple of beautiful calls in a big pot, and from there I just took off. It was a fantastic day, I ran really well.
It’s always great here — the atmosphere is just right, full of players who know each other. Most of us on the circuit see each other all the time, and that makes it feel like home. I even have a King’s tattoo… a crazy move, but we wanted to do it. Now let’s hope I can open one of those €100K bounties tomorrow — that’s when you really need the run.
The key hands today? In the first one, I opened UTG with Q-10 offsuit, got calls from the button, small blind, and big blind. Flop came J-6-6, I c-bet, only the button called. Turn was a 5, I checked, he bet, I called. River was another Jack — he fired big, I called… and he showed 4-high. That one was insane.
In the second, I bet 90,000 on the turn in a pot of about 400K. He raised to 280K, leaving himself 100K behind. The third player folded, I shoved, and he called with J-7 — he had flopped two pair, but the river brought a 10 and I won the pot. That one’s still stuck in my head. Beautiful hand."
Top 5
As for today’s Top 5, in addition to the already mentioned Christian Vertu with 1,650,000, we find Czech player Daniel Rejc with 1,126,000, followed by Manuel García González from Spain with 1,110,000.
