You were wrong if you thought we'd be sitting on our hands between the White Wolf won by Dorjan Ushe (CLICK HERE for the report) and The Wolf High Roller scheduled to start tonight. The action at the GCPoker Room hasn't stopped, on the contrary, last night saw Day 1A of the CHF200 Red Wolf, with CHF10,000 up for grabs for the winner.
We want to remind you that you can qualify for the Final Day on Friday, Jan 19th, via the two available Day1s or enter directly with an increased buy-in to CHF500, with no re-entry possibilities and a stack of 200,000 chips.
The Tournament
With a starting stack of 50,000 chips and 30-minute levels, Day 1 A at Red Wolf began at 18:00 and saw 45 single players who, together with the 29 re-entries made, brought the entry counter to 74, generating a partial prize pool of CHF12,580.
Only 13 players made it through, and the best of them all was a regular well-known in these parts, namely the Swiss "Nokia 3310", who at the end of the day pocketed 621,000 chips, followed by Hungarian Rod Tidwell at 542,000.
Third place for German Thomas H. Hardt (483,000), while Austrian Alepr Önal (375,000) and Portuguese "Paisi" complete the Top 5. Also qualifying were Italians Giuseppe Di Taranto (162,000) and "Givi" (129,000), two other constant presences in these parts. Below is the total Day 1 A count.
