A smile as unmistakable as his playing style and verve that doesn't go unnoticed: this is the description of the Day1A chip leader of this ReMida Poker Team in its autumn version.
Niki Prela stole the show and put everyone in line thanks to the 620,000 chips accumulated on Thursday evening, on the occasion of the special price that saw 100 single players crowd the tables of the Perla resort's poker room. Considering the 38 re-entries made, the entry count came to 138, of which only 36 reached Day 2.
Beaming, the day's chip leader commented on his performance: "You have to write the article? Here write this: Niki Prela is the greatest poker player in the world!"

The Top 5
Joking aside, Niki Prela was the only player to exceed 600,000 chips. He was followed with 537,000 by Ante Mazarekić, while the ever-present Davide Cojaniz took the third step of the podium thanks to the 480,000 chips he stuffed in his envelope at the end of the first day's play.
Andrea Campi (456,000) and Edis Bečić (382,000) round out the Top 5.
In ninth place, we find instead the winner, together with David Testen, of the ReMida Poker Team edition of a few months ago: for him, 270,000 chips to be administered on Sunday, when the envelopes reopen.
Francesco Saverio Sanità also passed, hit his target on his first attempt, and got back into his car to drive home for the weekend: "I'll be back on Sunday, to win!" - he told us at the end of the day.
Lorenzo Lagana (12th at 222,000), Andrea Braccini (19th at 185,000), and Davide Ceglia (26th at 157,000) also responded. Christian Andreas Gabriel, 36th with only 40,000 chips, was the tail end.
