With the first week of action already in the books, we dive into the heart of the Sharkbay Grand FinalĀ here at the Perla Resort in Nova Gorica. From December 12 to 16, the tournamentā€™s final phase will take place, offering a guaranteed prize pool of ā‚¬200,000.

Mon 16 Dec - 04:00 - It's Final Table Time!



The final table has finally been reached here at the Perla Resort, where the Shark Bay Grand FinaleĀ is coming to its thrilling conclusion.


The 10 finalistsĀ are now seated, with Tommaso FornasieroĀ dominating the chip counts with 8,210,000, as blinds stand at 80,000/160,000 with a 160,000 ante. The average stack is around 4,000,000 chips, approximately 25 big blinds.


At the start of the final table, levels have shifted from 45 minutes to one hour, and play is scheduled to continue until 6 AM. If the game extends beyond that, it will resume the following day unless players agree on an ICM deal.


The final table bubble was burst by Choi Kyung-ok, who, as the short stack, called a raise from Renzo TedeschiĀ with Ace-8Ā against Tedeschiā€™s Ace-5. A 5 on the flopĀ secured the pot for the Italian, sending Choi to the payout desk.

The 27th level of playĀ has just begun here at the Perla Resort, where the Final DayĀ of the Shark Bay Grand FinalĀ is approaching the final table, with 8 eliminationsĀ still needed to determine the 9 finalists.


The blinds are currently at 50,000/100,000Ā with a 200,000 ante; the average stackĀ is 2,400,000 chips. Taking a quick look around the tables, we have the full chip count at the start of Level 27.


Giovanni Bellini leads the packĀ with 6.5 million, followed by Tommaso FornasieroĀ with 4.5 million, and Antonio PrioloĀ with 4.4 million. Niki PrelaĀ has slipped but still holds fifth place with 2.8 million, while Sejdefa HodžićĀ is in fourth place with 3 million chips.

26 players remain, with 25 ticketsĀ up for grabs for the next Sharkbay Grand Final. The blinds are 30,000/60,000, with a 60,000 ante, and the average stackĀ is 1,500,000 chips.


Niki PremaĀ still leads the pack, but Sejdefa HodzicĀ and Tommaso FornasieroĀ remain in contention with stacks well above the average.


At Table 30, Davide CojanizĀ and Andrea MichelottoĀ are making their presence felt, both holding stacks above the tournament average. Play will continue for one more level before the next break.





Sun 15 Dec - 23:40 -Ā Niki Prela on fire!



The Final DayĀ of the Shark Bay Grand FinalĀ is underway at the Perla Resort, with 32 playersĀ still in contention. The blinds are currently 25,000/50,000, with a 50,000 ante, and the average stackĀ has reached 1,300,000 chips. There are four active tablesĀ at the moment.


A quick look at the chip counts shows Nicky PrellaĀ leading the pack with over 4 million chips, nearly four times the tournament average. In second position, Tommaso FornasieroĀ holds 2.5 million chips, twice the average, while at Table 25, Sejdefa HodžićĀ is defending with approximately 1.8 million chips.


There are still two levels of play, plus the 20 minutes remainingĀ in the current level, before the next break.

The bubble has burst here at the Perla Resort, where Day 2Ā of the Shark Bay Grand FinalĀ is underway. Angelo GiannottiĀ is the bubble boy of the day, sending the remaining 68 playersĀ into the money, guaranteeing a minimum cash of ā‚¬850.


The tournament is now in the 20th level, with blinds at 12,000/24,000, a 24,000 ante, and an average stack of 819,000 chips.


At the top positions of the leaderboard is the ever-consistent Juan Velasco, the Spanish player who won the last edition of the Shark Bay in Velden, with a few thousand less than Sejdefa Hodžić (Day1 A-D chip leader) and Tommaso Fornasiero, the actual chip leader at the moment.Ā

The 92 playersĀ still competing in the Shark Bay Grand FinaleĀ Main EventĀ have returned to the tables to battle it out on this Final Day.


The blinds are 6,000/12,000 with a 12,000 ante, and the average stack is 445,000 chips. There are three more levels, including the current one, before the dinner break.

Late registration has just closed here at the Poker Room of the Pearl Resort, where Day 1GĀ of the Shark Bay Grand FinalĀ is nearing its conclusion.


The blinds are currently 3,000/6,000, with a 6,000 ante, and 90 playersĀ remain in contention for a spot on Day 2, holding an average stack of 175,000 chips.


Two more 40-minute levelsĀ are scheduled before the day wraps up. Itā€™s worth noting that there was no Day 1H, the second flight originally planned for today, but the Day 1I TurboĀ will still be available tomorrow morning for latecomers looking for a chance to qualify.

The 139 playersĀ still in action at Day 1GĀ of the Sharkbay Grand FinalĀ have just returned to their seats to begin the ninth levelĀ of the tournament. The blinds are now 1,000/2,000Ā with a 2,000 ante, and the average stack is 104,000 chips.


Registration remains open for another three levels, with the tournament currently at 243 entries. Play will continue for five more levelsĀ before the conclusion of the day.


Sat 14 Dec - 18:00 - First Break of the day!



The first break of the day has arrived for the 147 playersĀ still in action here at Terra Resort, where Day 1GĀ of the Shark Bay Grand FinaleĀ is underway. So far, the tournament has registered a total of 174 entries.


The current level is 300-600-3600, which will continue for a few more minutes before the fourth-hour break. Play will then resume at 400-800-800 blinds, with an average stack of 71,000 chips.


Today, the Chip Leader Bonus FeatureĀ is active, awarding a total of ā‚¬6,000Ā to the top three chip leaders as follows:

As we write, the tenth level of play is underway with blinds at 1,000/3,000 and an ante of 3,300. The average stack has reached 130,000 chips for the 44 players still in contention at the tables, out of a total of 95 entries so far today.


The action will continue for three more levels, plus the one currently in progress, before reaching bagging time.





Sat 14 Dec - 00:00 - Second day-break!



Itā€™s time for all participants of Day 1F of the Shark Bay Main Event Grand Final to take another 15-minute break, as the second break of the day is underway.


Over 90 entries have been recorded so far, with 58 players still in the running. Action will continue until the close of late registration, after which the final break of the day will take place, leading into the last two levels. Below, you can find some snapshots from today.




Fri 13 Dec - 22:00 - 80 entries at the 5th level!



After the first break of the day, at the end of the fourth level, players returned to the tables, and 80 entries have been recorded so far. Weā€™re now in the middle of the fifth level of play, with blinds at 400/800, ante 800, and in the next level, they will increase to 500/1,000.


The average stack is currently 72,000 chips, and as players progressively exit the Free Talk side event, the number of entries continues to rise.


Registration will remain open until the eleventh level of play. As for the side event, 14 players remain from a total of 67 entries, competing for a total prize pool of ā‚¬6,700.

With 746,000 chips, Luca Quilichini is todayā€™s chip leader, placing third overall in the chip count behind Giovanni Chiofalo and Seidefa Hodzic, who currently leads with 1,002,000. You can find the full Day 1E report at this link.


Thu 13 Dec - 03:30 - Last level with 15 players left!




Final stretch of play here at the PokĆ©Room of the Perla Resort, where Day 1Ā is nearing its conclusion. 15 playersĀ are still battling it out at the tables out of a total of 59 entries, now confirmed as the official number.


The action is currently at Level 3,000-6,000, with an average stack of 295,000 chips. In the next update, weā€™ll share the name of the chip leader and the link to our daily report. Stay tuned!


Thu 13 Dec - 00:30 - Last break!



Last break of the day here at the Perla Resort, where the Day 1E of the Sark Bay Grand Finale is underway in the main Poker Room. Currently, 34 players remain out of 59 entries, with the average stack at 104,000 chips.


After the ongoing break, which will end in about ten minutes, play will resume at level 1,000-2,000, continuing until the end of the 11th level of the day.




Thu 12 Dec - 23:15 - 54 entries at the 7th level



Weā€™ve reached the seventh level of play here at the poker room of Perla Resort in Nova Gorica, with 54 entriesĀ and 38 playersĀ still in the game, battling it out with blinds at 600/1,200/1,200Ā and an average stack of 85,000 chips.


The action will continue for the current level and the eighth, after which players will enjoy the third break of the day. A reminder: Late RegistrationĀ will close at Level 11, and the Day will conclude at the end of Level 13. Here are some more snapshots from today!
