Entries 59/ Left 11
The Day 1E of the Shark Bay Grand Final Main Event with a €200,000 guarantee concluded shortly before 4 a.m., attracting 59 entries and advancing 11 more players to Sunday’s Day 2.
The day's chip leader was Luca Quilichini, who bagged an impressive 746,000 chips. He shared his thoughts after the session:
“Let’s just say I got back some of the run I left behind in Rosvado during my last trip, where I lost practically every one of the 80 flips I played. Today, the opposite happened.
In one key hand, I found myself all-in preflop with pocket nines against pocket tens, and I hit a nine on the river. Later, in a similar spot, I went all-in preflop with ace-nine against ace-jack, hitting an ace on the flop and a nine on the turn. Once I built up a solid stack, I imposed my game and secured a strong position heading into Sunday."
Top 5
In addition to Quilichini’s 746,000, the Top 5 stacks from Day 1E include Alessandro Monticciolo in second with 391,000, Matteo Fortunato in third with 365,000, Davide Kojanic in fourth with 347,000, and Slovenia’s Dejan Opeka rounding out the Top 5 with 342,000 chips.
Below is the full list of the 11 Day 2 qualifiers, who will join the 36 players already advanced from the four flights played last week.
