Entries 263/ Left 61
Sharkbay Grand Final Day1 G, with a €200,000 guaranteed prize pool, concluded around 1 a.m., attracting 263 entries and advancing 61 more players to Sunday’s Day 2.
The standout performer was Luigi Serafin, who bagged an impressive 1,021,000 chips, just 19,000 more than the previous chip leader. He also claimed the €3,000 chip leader bonus, part of a €6,000 prize pool awarded to the top three stacks of the day. Here’s what he shared at the end of the day:
“It went great, and I’m really happy about the chip leader bonus! It was a lucky day; I had lots of strong starting hands—three times Aces, twice Kings—but the hand that turned things around was when I opened with Jacks and faced a defence from the big blind holding Q-3.
The flop came Q-3-x, he donk-bet 50,000, and I called. On the turn, a Jack hit, giving me trips. My opponent bet another 100,000, I shoved, he called, and the river blanked. From that moment on, the tournament was smooth sailing.
I’m here because I love EuroRounders tournaments. I play them all because they’re well-structured and affordable. I travel to Liechtenstein, Rozvadov… They’re all events with big prize pools at a reasonable cost, and it’s fantastic to tour Europe this way. Will I be at the EPO this weekend? Of course!”
