The first weekend of games has just concluded here at the Pearl Resort & Entertainment, where the Shark Bay Grand Final with a €200,000 guarantee is taking place. As you may have noticed from the schedule, there have been several promotions for the initial Days, starting with the Special Prize format for Day 1A and the Featured Leader Bonuses for Days 1B, 1C, and 1D. All the details are below in the individual reports for each Day.
As for the second week of games, Day 1A will kick off on December 12 at 7 PM, with a Special Prize buy-in of €300 on Thursday. The Special Prize buy-in will increase to €350 for both Friday and Saturday’s afternoon flight at 3 PM, while the evening Day 1H at 7 PM and the Turbo Day 1I at 11 AM on Sunday, December 15, will cost €500.
The standout player of this first week is Slovenian Sejdefa Hodzic, the only participant to surpass the one-million-chip mark. Before comprehensively recapping all four flights, let’s break down each Day 1 individually.
Day1 A

We begin our coverage with Day 1A of the Shark Bay Main Event, featuring a guaranteed prize pool of €200,000. It was played in the Special Price format, offering a reduced buy-in of €300 (compared to the €350 scheduled for other days and the €450 for the final weekend of play, on Saturday, December 14, and Sunday, December 15, during the Morning Turbo). Out of 31 entries, 5 players advanced to Day 2.
Leading the pack was the ever-present Niki Prela, who bagged 550,000 chips, followed by Marco Bellomo with 441,000 and Ivan Srezovic with 390,000
Day1 B

Greater turnout for Day 1B, which saw 67 entries, advancing another 10 players to Day 2.
It’s worth noting that the players from Day 1B and Day 1C competed for the Feature Chip Leader Bonuses, which awarded a total of €20,000 to the top 5 players combining the results from Day 1B and Day 1C, distributed as follows: €7,000 for first place, €5,000 for second, €4,000 for third, €3,000 for fourth, and €1,000 for fifth.
In the second flight of this Shark Bay Grand Final, Giovanni Chiofalo took the lead with 770,000 chips, followed by Dejan Luzar with 547,000 and Claudio Cannava with 542,000.
Day1 C

Day 1C was the flight with the highest number of entries so far, totalling 89, and advancing another 15 players to Day 2. Leading all players was Sejdefa Hodžić, who bagged an impressive 1,002,000 chips. Her top position also earned her a €7,000 prize, as the Slovenian player claimed the highest reward from the Feature Chip Leader Bonuses, which awarded the top 5 stacks across Day 1B and Day 1C.
Second in the chip count was Filippo Salvetti, who had 594,000 chips, earning €4,000 for his third-place finish in the bonuses. Carlo Arrigoni secured fourth place with 569,000 chips and a €3,000 prize. Also rewarded were Giovanni Chiofalo, from Day 1B, who closed with 777,000 chips, and Slovenian Dejan Luzar, whose 547,000 chips earned him fifth place in this special ranking, along with €1,000.
