Entries 87/ Left 19
Here we are to bring you the recap of the last of the two flights played today at Casino Velden for the Shark Bay Main Event, which has a guaranteed ā¬1 million prize pool.
Day 1D has just concluded, with 87 entries advancing 19 players to Day 2 this afternoon. Weāre still waiting for the qualifiers from the final available flight, Day 1E Speed, scheduled to start at noon.
The day's standout performer was Lucas De Pasqualin, an Austrian who bagged 586,000 chips by the end of the day. He shared his excitement with us, as his entry into Day 1D was special, making him the player of the day:
āIt went great! Iāve played a lot of poker in my life, semi-professionally about ten years ago, but in recent years, I havenāt been able to keep up the same pace due to family commitments.
The funny thing that happened today is that since I havenāt been keeping up with the ongoing tournaments, I didnāt realize that Sharkbay had come here. While I was out with friends, one of them told me that Day 1D was still running.
On a whim, I decided to head to the casino and registered late in the seventh level. From the moment I sat at the table, everything went smoothly. Of course, I havenāt done much yet; itās just the first step, but Iām really happy!ā
The Top 5
As for todayās Top 5, alongside Lucas De Pasqualin with 586,000, we have another Austrian, Andreas Gabriel, in second place with 500,000 chips and fellow Austrian Prott-Ierri in third place with 380,000. The fourth and fifth positions go to Croatian Darko Mecinovic with 350,000 and Italian Nicola Naclerio with 318,000.
