Entries 101/Left 20

Day 1D of The Warriors Main Event has just concluded, recording a total of 101 entries, adding another 20 players to Sunday's Day 2. The day's best performance came from Austrian Dieter Pickler, who surprisingly managed to claim the chip lead with 437,000 chips.

A particularly valuable chip lead, as thanks to the Chip Leader Bonuses feature, it is worth 3,000 CHF, just like the second and third places, which are rewarded with 2,000 CHF and 1,000 CHF, respectively. Here’s what today’s protagonist had to say at the end of the day:

“Everything went quite well. I was rather lucky on two occasions, hitting quads twice—first with eights and then with kings, holding K-Q and finding K-K-3 on the flop.

But the biggest pot came towards the end of the day, where I managed a double-up performance. It’s the first time I’ve ever finished as chip leader in a Day 1, and I hope this is a good sign for Domenico’s Day 2.”

As for the top five positions, beyond Dieter Pickler with 437,000, we find German Sebastian Marzek in second place with 348,000 chips, followed by Wad Rautka in third with 312,000 chips.

The top five is completed by another German, Borat 90, with 311,000 chips, and Hummel with 288,000 chips. Below is the complete list of all 20 players who qualified for Day 2 from Day 1D.
