Tue 28 Jan, 00:30 - Marco M. is The Warriors ME winner, Wolfinger runner-up!

A lightning-fast heads-up lasting just ten minutes crowned Marco M. as the champion, taking home 34,000 CHF.

The decisive hand saw both players go all-in on the flop of 3♣, 6♥, 9♦. Kathrine Wolfinger had limped from the button, and after Marco checked, she c-bet 400,000. Marco raised to 1,200,000, and Kathrine quickly shoved all-in. Marco snapped with K♠ 9♠, up against Kathrine’s 9♣ Q♥.

The turn K♦ and river 5♠ sealed the deal, eliminating Kathrine in second place and awarding Marco M the trophy and top prize.

Despite the loss, Kathrine delivered a strong performance, securing a runner-up prize of 21,160 CHF.

Tue 28 Jan, 00:00 - Heads-up!

After a short break Mario M. and Kathrine Wolfinger came back for the last act of The Warriors Main Event: around 4.5M for Kathrine and over 17 for Mario. Who's gonna take the trophy down?

Mon 27 Jan, 23:30 - Nikolai Tsanev is the 3rd place finisher!

It takes just a few minutes to see another bust, as Nikolay Tsanev clashes with chip leader Marco M. in a blinds battle.

The hand begins with Tsanev, holding a stack of approximately 4.5 million, limping from the small blind. Marco M. raises to 900,000 from the big blind, and Tsanev calls with Q♠ J♥, while Marco holds K♦ J♦.

The flop brings J♠ 2♣ 6♣, connecting both players. Tsanev bets 1 million, and Marco shoves all-in. Tsanev, with top pair, decides to call.

The turn and river run out 5♠ and 6♠, confirming Tsanev’s elimination. He leaves the tournament in third place with a prize of 15,155 CHF, while Marco M. surges to over 17 million chips. The heads-up battle now begins, with Marco holding a commanding lead over Kathrin Wolfinger, who remains with just 5.5 million.

Mon 27 Jan, 23:30 - Mammuth out in 4th place!

After nearly three and a half hours of play without eliminations, the tournament finally loses one of its final four contenders. Swiss player Mammuth meets the classic preflop cooler that seals his fate.

The action begins with Marco M. opening from the button, followed by a 3-bet from Mammuth in the big blind. Marco responds with a 4-bet shove, and Mammuth, with 4 million chips effective, makes the call. Marco turns over A♠ A♥, dominating Mammuth’s K♠ K♦.

The board runs out 6♠ Q♥ Q♠ 2♦ 7♣, offering no help to Mammuth. He exits in fourth place, earning 11,935 CHF for his deep run.

The tournament is now three-handed, with Marco M. extending his lead to over 12 million chips thanks to the 8-million-chip pot he just secured. Following him are Nikolay Tsanev with 4.5 million and Liechtenstein’s Kathrin Wolfinger with 3.8 million as they battle for the top spot.

Mon 27 Jan, 21:00 - Four-handed play continues...

After Shyfly’s elimination in fifth place, the action at the GC Poker Room moves forward without further eliminations. The tournament has now reached Level 19, with blinds at 125,000/250,000 and a 250,000 ante.

Marco M. remains the chip leader, holding over 9 million chips. Following him in second place is Nicolay Tsanev, who has amassed a stack of approximately 6 million. Kathrin Wolfinger, the player from Liechtenstein, is in third position with 4.5 million, while Mammuth closes the field with a stack of about 3.5 million.

The battle continues as the four remaining players fight for the title and the top prize.

Mon 27 Jan, 20:50 - Shyfly busts in 5th place!

A dramatic twist unfolds at the GC Poker Room as the players return from a 30-minute break to Level 80,000/160,000/160,000. On the first hand, a blind-versus-blind battle sees German player Shyfly open-shoving his 25 big blind stack from the small blind.

Marco M, sitting in the big blind, uses two time banks before making the call. At showdown, Shyfly reveals 5♠5♦, while Marco M turns over 9♠9♥.

The board offers a hint of danger with a potential straight draw but ultimately runs favourably for Marco M, solidifying his chip lead at over 12 million chips.

The tournament continues four-handed, while Shyfly departs with a bittersweet 5th place finish, earning 9,380 CHF.

Mon 27 Jan, 19:20 - Emilia finishes 6th!

Swiss player Emilia exits in 6th place at The Warriors Main Event after a dramatic hand against Nikolai Tsanev. The hand begins with Emilia open-limping under the gun with 9♠8♦ in a six-handed phase. Tsanev calls from the small blind, and Shyfly checks from the big blind.

The flop comes Q♥ 6♠ 5♥. Both blinds check, and Emilia places a small bet. Tsanev raises from the small blind, Shyfly folds, and Emilia calls.

The turn is 8♠. Tsanev bets 775,000 into a pot with blinds at 70,000/140,000/140,000. Emilia tanks, using four time banks, before calling.

With 1,200,000 chips left on the Q♦ river, Tsanev shoves all-in. Emilia, with only 30 seconds to decide, makes a hero call with two pair, Q♦ 9♠.

Tsanev reveals 5♣ 5♦ for a full house, eliminating Emilia in 6th place. Emilia earns 7,325 CHF, though the bittersweet finish comes after a strong tournament performance.

Mon 27 Jan, 18:40 - Ryosuke K. finishes in 7th place

Ryosuke K. ended his run in 7th place after a rollercoaster session that saw him briefly climb to the top of the chip count before dropping to just 10 big blinds. The decisive hand came against Emilia, a mini-revenge scenario following their earlier cooler where Emilia’s Aces bested Ryosuke’s Kings.

On this hand, Ryosuke shoved for just over a million chips during the 60,000/120,000 blinds with Q-10, only to be called by Emilia in the big blind holding pocket fours. The flop brought a queen, giving Ryosuke the lead, but a four on the turn sealed the hand for Emilia, with a blank river confirming his elimination. Emilia climbed back to over 30 big blinds with the win.

For Ryosuke, it was still an excellent tournament, with his 7th-place finish earning him a prize of 5,515 francs.

Mon 27 Jan, 18:15 - Break at 7 left!

After two levels of intense action, the seven remaining players are taking a ten-minute break. The past hour and a half has seen several pivotal hands, including a dramatic preflop clash between Emilia and Ryosuke K., with Aces against Kings.

The hand: Emilia opened to 200,000, Ryosuke 3-bet to 600,000, Emilia shoved all-in, and Ryosuke called. The board came 9♥, 10♥, J♠, A♥, and an incredible Q♥ on the river gave Ryosuke a flush, temporarily putting him in the chip lead and dropping Emilia, the tournament chip leader until then, to around 20 big blinds.

However, Ryosuke couldn’t capitalize on his lead, losing several key spots and now sitting at the bottom of the chip count with 740,000. Meanwhile, Austrian player Kathrin Wolfinger has scored two double-ups and is currently sitting with around 15 big blinds after winning a preflop hand against Ryosuke, where her A♠-2♠ triumphed over his J-10.

Marco M. has regained the lead and is currently in first place, closely followed by German player ShyFly, trailing by just two big blinds. Play will resume shortly at blinds of 60,000/120,000 with a 320,000 ante, and the average stack is now 3,200,000.

Mon 27 Jan, 16:50 - Shorty is the 8th place finisher!

Barely enough time to settle back into their seats, and the second elimination of the final table has already occurred. The Austrian player Shorty was knocked out in this hand.

Nikolay Tsanev, from Under the Gun, opened with pocket nines, only to face a 3-bet to 2.5x from Swiss player Mammuth. Shorty, in the big blind with A-J and approximately 15 big blinds, decided to shove. The original raiser folded, but Mammuth made the call.

The board ran out J-2-4-3-2, giving Shorty top pair but no help against Mammuth’s full house. Shorty exited in 8th place, taking home a prize of 3,845 francs.

The game continues now in a 7-handed phase.

Mon 27 Jan, 16:30 - Rainer Bertsch out in 9th place, first break!

The first elimination of the day has occurred here at the final table of The Warriors Main Event, with Swiss player Reiner Bertsch finishing in 9th place.

The hand that sealed Bertsch’s fate started with Ryosuke K. raising from the button at blinds of 35,000-70,000-70,000, and Bertsch defending his big blind holding pocket sevens with a 15x stack. The flop came 7-5-4, giving Bertsch top set. Bertsch checked, and the original raiser bet 120,000, which Bertsch called.

The turn brought an 8, and after Bertsch checked again, Ryosuke K. shoved all-in. Following a few moments in the tank, Bertsch called. Ryosuke K. revealed 6♣-4♣ for a straight, and with no pair to the board on the river, Bertsch was eliminated in 9th place.

Players are now on a 15-minute break, with play resuming at blinds of 40,000-80,000-80,000.

Mon 27 Jan, 14:45 - Emilia still in the lead, 11 left!

Here we are with the first update from the GC Poker Room in Bendern, Liechtenstein, where The Warriors Main Event has reached its Final Day. Play resumed with 16 players, led by Emilia at the top of the chip count, followed by Katroboss (pic above). In a dramatic turn of events, these two clashed in the early stages of the day, with the Swiss player Emilia coming out ahead. Emilia now holds a massive chip lead with over 6 million chips.

Katroboss adopted an aggressive approach at the start of the final table but faced setbacks. A failed bluff with 10-2 against Emilia’s pocket aces cost him significantly, and he was later eliminated in another hand involving pocket aces. In that decisive hand, Katroboss's 4-bet shoved over Emilia’s 3-bet holding pocket tens. The board brought no help—no tens, straights, or flushes—and Katroboss was eliminated, taking home 2,160 francs.

Currently, 11 players remain vying for a spot at the Final Table. Still in contention are some of the standout players of the tournament, including Reiner Bertsch, Claudio Piceci, and, of course, the chip leader across both days, Emilia. Below, you’ll find the list of players eliminated so far.

Taking advantage of the pause, we did a quick sweep of the tables to identify the biggest stacks, with Emilia leading the count. Emilia was involved in one of the largest pots played so far, approximately 3 million chips. It was a preflop cooler with Emilia holding pocket aces against the opponent’s pocket kings.
