Entries 155/ Left 38
The second flight of the day, the Day 1D Turbo of the WSOP Circuit Main Event, has also concluded. Out of a total of 155 entries, 38 players advanced to Day 2.
Italy’s Antonio Scalzi is leading this group, who bagged 578,000 chips after an impressive performance, as he shared in a quick interview at the end of the day.
“How did it go? Let’s just say I played 3-4 hands where I started ahead, and sure, the showdowns held up, which isn’t always a given in this game. Perhaps the most important hand was when I hit trips sevens on a flop with two diamonds; my opponent completed a diamond flush on later streets, but the board paired, giving me a full house.
On that hand, I picked up around 200,000, which was the day's most important. The French players? They’re pretty loose, so sometimes you’re forced to put your chips in—sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. This time, it worked out, and I’m happy!”
