🇬🇷 Borgki Biba dominates on Day1 C!

Entries 397/ Left 85

The first of today’s two scheduled flights at the WSOP Circuit Main Event, Day 1C, featuring 40-minute levels, has ended.

The flight attracted 397 entries, advancing 85 players to Day 2 on Sunday. Leading the pack was Greek player Borgki Biba, who managed to bag an impressive 665,000 chips by the end of the day. Here’s what he had to say right after the session:

“The first bullet didn’t go well at all, and I had to re-enter after losing several hands where I was ahead, the last of which was A-Q < A-J, forcing me to rebuy.

The second bullet, however, went smoothly until the hand that boosted my chip count. It was a unique situation because I found myself on the flop with top pair (A-T) on a 10-high board with a flush draw, facing an all-in lead-out from a short-stacked player and an almost re-shove from the flatter next to me after I had raised. The dynamics of the hand didn’t quite add up. The player next to me left himself with just 18,000 chips behind after putting nearly 200K in, while I had a significant range advantage over the short stack.

After giving it some thought, I decided to call: A-J for the short stack and a flush draw for the other opponent. Two blanks on the turn and river, and thanks to this pot, I crossed the 500,000 chip mark. I’m not a professional player, but I love playing cash games, so I don’t really consider myself a tournament player. However, with 75-minute levels and such a significant stack, it’s definitely going to be fun!”
