🇯🇵 Yuho Ikezaki jumps ahead on Day1 D!

Entries 260/ Left 72

The fourth Day 1 flight of the weekend at King’s Resort has wrapped up, with the €1,100 WSOP Circuit Main Event drawing another 260 entries. A total of 72 players advanced to Day 2, which begins this afternoon.

The day’s chip leader was Japan’s Yuho Ikezaki (pic above), who bagged 518,000 chips. However, due to the intensity of the final stages, we couldn’t interview him. Instead, we spoke with the second in chips, Germany’s Ihsee Mani, who ended the day with 403,000:

“I managed to join during late registration, which was the last flight available. Nothing extraordinary happened; I built my stack thanks to a great run and some interesting spots that allowed me to accumulate crucial chips.

Am I a professional? No, I consider myself an ambitious amateur. I’m very happy with the stack I’ll take into Day 2 tomorrow—hopefully, it goes well.”

Top 5

As for the Top 5, in addition to Yuho Ikezaki and ihsee Mani, Italy’s Mario Antonio Colavita ranks third with 387,000, followed closely by fellow Italian and Balkan Poker Circuit summer champion Antonio Fragale with 382,000. Fifth place belongs to France’s Vincent Andre Meni with 355,000.

A special mention goes to Antonio Fregale, who secured an incredible triple-up in the final hours of the day. In a preflop all-in involving A-A against K-K, A-Q, and 10-10, Fregale’s odds of winning were 58% preflop but turned into a guaranteed victory after the board ran out.
