Entries 1,110/Left 40
The WSB Circuit Day 2 Main Event at King’s Resort has ended. The tournament, which had 1,110 entries, is now down to its final 40 players.
Slovak player Andrej Imrich, who bagged an impressive 3,955,000 chips leading the pack at the end of the day. Speaking about his performance, he shared:
“The structure is excellent; with levels like these, you can really play post-flop, and that’s fantastic. I started with the 3rd largest stack, around 600,000, and managed to get here by playing well. Was I lucky? Winning at poker without some luck is nearly impossible, but I also worked hard to build a stack like this.
As for the key hand of my tournament, it was when I opened with aces, got an all-in from a short stack, and then a re-shove from another player with 35x. This happened during the penultimate level for a pot worth about 2 million chips.”
Top 5
As for the Top 5, in addition to Andrej Imrich, we have Romanian Adrian Kazaku in second place with 3,050,000 chips. He was solidly leading for much of the tournament. Following him is German René Schnitzler with 2,735,000 chips.
Rounding out the Top 5 are Israeli Ron Ieda with 2,515,000 and Swiss player Mattia Merideo with an even 2,500,000. You can find the complete list of all 40 players who qualified for Day 3 here.
