🇷🇴 Adrian Cazacu leads the pack on Day3!

Entries 1,110/Left 9

Day 3 of the WSOP Circuit Main Event has also come to an end. As a reminder, the tournament totaled 1,110 entries, and for the Final Day, nine players will return to compete for the title of champion and a first prize of €172,000 plus a WSOP Main Event Ticket.

The best player of the day, after a truly, truly intense session, was Romanian player Adrian Kazaku, who managed to accumulate 13,270,000 chips by the end of the day, not without some major swings, including a spectacular final hand that we recounted on our blog, which you can find at this link.

Here is what the day’s chip leader told us right after the session, focusing on the key hand that made him double up with J-J against Aces thanks to a Jack on the Turn:

"I was a bit tilted, nothing was going my way, and I did something impulsive. But in poker, there’s nothing better than being the underdog because you already know you’re likely to lose, so you can only gain if luck decides to smile on you!

I’m being ironic, but it’s happened to everyone to be on the other side, despairing over losing a massive pot despite being the odds-on favorite. Today, it happened to me, and I’m happy, but overall, I’m satisfied with how I played my tournament.

Let’s say that normally my re-shove with J-J isn’t a technical mistake, and in most situations, I would have played the same way. But in this specific case, I could have folded against that type of player because his range was tight. Still, it’s fine—I didn’t exactly have a trash hand…"
